Tons of older stuff has been sent to that big hard drive in the sky.

I'm sure it had to be done, but reading some of the old stuff was cool.

Clearly room was needed in the CJH section for all the hot action going on!

It's not all bad. bigfan deleted the time I was wrong. Perfect record intact.

It also makes it easier to run for public office. The last thing I need is some post in a UFBT ending my run for Senate.

None of this is my fault.

If anyone's to blame, it's obviously Keeping Score.

Whoa! You don't think anything on this board could inhibit my run for Santa Rosa selectman, do you?

How much space can text take up, really? There are message boards that go back to 2002 and we can't go back to last February? From a technical standpoint, this board sucks.

You people always have to complain about something. You are allowed to post your dumb thoughts for free and that is still not enough. This is what happens in Obummer's "Hand Out" America. #Truth

I don't think this is BigFan's fault. The PHPBB3 boards are database-based. A database costs more for hosting. Images, I believe, also get stored up in the database, so that probably runs his capacity. I don't think PHPBB3 offers a way to generate out static pages, which would have been a better solution to cleaning out old data. It would allow you to dump threads in a way that would make them easier to host, but wouldn't let you reply to them. Essentially dead threads for history.

A year and half ago there was going to be a fundraiser to move the site to something better. There was a new splash page etc. It was even accessible for a bit....what happened?

I'd throw some ducats in for a move if BigFan was willing and able.

I gave him 20 bucks, but I assume that didn't do it.
