He's the man who put together stop motion animation in such films as "20 Million Miles to Earth" in 1957, "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad" in 1958, the original "Jason and the Argonauts" in 1963, as well as "Clash of the Titans" in 1981. Three of these films aired a few years ago on "Svengoolie" before the horror movie host went national a couple years ago on the MeTV Network. He's Ray Harryhausen, and the iconic special effects designer passed away today in London via his Facebook page at age 92. Here's a lot more on Ray:
