Check out this Ed Sherman article about taking a stand against on-air idiocy.

So Sherman has no problem ripping Michael Irving... yet I feel Mike North has said a lot worse, and Shermy won't take Slappy Pappy to task.

Read some of those quotes in the article by Irving. You can't tell me Slappy hasn't spoken things just as silly, if not worse, in the past.

Sherman's article failed because you can't write a column about taking a stand against on-air idiocy without any mentions of Mike North, Fritz, etc.

It's not Tuesday at 5p:00 and this isn't the MJH forum, but I don't give a damn, because I'm giving a thumbs down to the Tribune's Ed Sherman.

Just be glad that Sherman wrote a media article that wasn't about Johnny Miller, Jim Nantz, Peter Kostis or any of the others who cover golf.
