What an entertaining show this morning!

1) Mike North taking about Kendill Gill's claim that Wally Szczerbiak is a ballhog decided to compare Gill and Szczerbiak's stats, using this to somehow prove that he's not a ballhog. I'm still not sure what Gill's stats have to do with his proving his point.

2) When comparing the stats, North says Gill has taken X shots in his career to which Annie replies, "I can't believe all the stats they keep."

3) North has bypassed both Rex Grossman and Brian Griese - he wants to go directly to Kyle Orton!!!

My experience with the North show today? It came on when I turned on my car. Within 30 seconds, I hear Idiot compare Kyle Orton to Drew Brees. This was about 6:50am. I threw up in my mouth a little bit, and quickly changed the station. The end.

While I admittedly haven't followed the Celtics much, I have watched probably 75% of T-Wolves games over the past 10 years, and I'm not quite sure I agree that Wally is a ball hog....

While on the Wolves he had one all-star year, averaged near 20 points and shot close to 50%. He was supposed to be the second option, therefore he is going to have the ball a lot. Plus, we all know Garnett is very unselfish, to an extreme, therefore he's going to give the ball up a lot.

Also, it's not like Kendall Gill is a choir boy or anything, I recall quite a few comments during his days as a player that he was a big time jerk

I turned it on at 9:15, heard him talking about Shecky Green and Lola Falana(!), and turned it off. Someone might want to tell asswipe it's not 1965 anymore.

now, i was half asleep while this discussion was going on this morning...but did anybody else catch the conversation about how David Letterman is getting paid X amount of dollars and then Mike complaining about how they wont pay him the right amount of money?

he was complaining that the bigwigs at CBS have no trouble paying Letterman, a guy who "comes in second place every night to Leno" a ton of money, but they wont pay him.

I heard that too. Comparing Mike North to Letterman is not in the realm of reality! North is a talentless Hack that does'nt prepare at all for his show. Letterman might come in sencond to Leno but he has a huge audience and is funny and witty unlike north.

I don't know if I heard the entire discussion... but when I flipped on the radio it seemed that Mikey was trying to make the point that since Letterman was #2 behind Leno and Dave was getting $30mil/year, score management had no reason to bitch about how much he was getting paid because the MNMS was #2 behind MVP

Letterman brings in more money to CBS than Jay Leno does. Leno has a bunch of grandma's that watch. Dave hits the 18-49 demographic that all sponsor's want. The Tonight Show will always draw a huge audience but Dave Letterman draws a huge audience on his own, and it easier to sell ads for him.

Letterman and Leno is like comparing Manning to Brady, both are at the top of their industry.

Mike North is the Trent Dilfer of Chicago radio.

Kramer, I would go with Mike being the Eddie Robinson of Chicago radio. Fat paycheck, very little results. The only difference is that Eddie Robinson had talent.

What a f-cking idiot. He's comparing his local Chicago radio show to a national network show. THERE'S ONLY 2 MAJOR NETWORKS DOING A COMEDY SHOW AT 10:30. He's in everybody's home. Yes he's second but not by much from what I've heard. I'm pretty sure CBS makes up the 20 million they pay Letterman. Is Pappy this dumb? Plus Letterman being 2nd seems to justify Pappy sucking in his mind. What kind of logic is that? I like how he mentions that CBS execs think about him as much as Letterman. In Pappy's mind this is how the meeting would go.

CBS exec- What did Letterman bring in last year. I think we'll resign him.

Moonvest- Yeah that's a smart move. Let's draw up the contract.

CBS exec- By the way the local idiot in Chicago came up with a new segment. It's called the Bookie priest. The GM there is giving me daily reports Les. We'll see if this can put him over the top.

Letterman's lost his fast ball but for North to compare himself to him is dilusional. Letterman's still better then Leno. It's just mid America doesn't like Letterman's rough personality. They all love the pussy idiot Lenno who has never been funny but people watch him because he's safe and cute.

Personally, I don't know anyone under 40 who watches EITHER show. It's going to be interesting to see how Leno's "old grandma" fanbase reacts when Conan O'Brien takes over and Leno's "nice" jokes are replaced by jokes about the announcer picking up asian boy-hookers and masturbating bear skits.

Wow I am missing a lot. I guess I have to start watching Conan.

Im under 40 and am a big Letterman fan. Also Conan will not be able to be as dirty at 10:30. Letterman toned it down alot when he went on an hour earlier also.
