Holy shit. Fred said that he saves his movie stubs because he reviews them for the show so he writes them off for his taxes. That is legal. But he reviews one movie per week. Here's betting that Fred writes off every god damn movie he see's. Regardless if it's for the show. Fred, I guess you can do that but Jesus Christ I wouldn't admit that. You just sound like a cheap bastard.

That's a $500 dollar write off when it's all said and done. I don't think that's being a cheap bastard. I once worked with a guy who wrote off Girl Scout Cookies. Now that's a cheap bastard.

Maybe it's justified and not cheap. You bring up a good point. $500 bucks is $500 bucks. Shouldn't Mitch give him the 9 bucks per week because it's for the Score. But I think he only reviews one per week and I'm willing to bet that he writes off all the movies he watches. He said he saves "all" of his stubs. It's unbeleivable to me any way how Fred has become a movie critic. I know Pappy probrally thought of it on a whim and all of the sudden. "Fred, you're gonna be da movie critic for da show."

Fred- Today I'm reviewing...uhhh...Rocky Balboa. It's about...uhh...well Rocky's 60 and he's fighting again. I don't want to give to much away but I liked it.

Pappy- Dat's Fred's movie review. Brought to you by Burger King, Joe's towing, and Vinny's law firm. Tanks Fred.

Jeez I just thought of something. Can't all sports radio hosts write off their tickets to sports games? Why not? It's for their jobs. If Fred can do it for the movies? Hell all these guys can get season tickets and just make Uncle Sam pay for it. Same with the NFL ticket on direct TV or MLB's "Extra Innings" package. There you go Fred I just gave you and idea.

Sure they can; and also newspapers, magazines, anything related to either sports or other items that help them do their job. Put it in the category of non reimbursed bsiness expenses - and in Fred's case, it's perfectly legal given that he does a job that requires he sees movies and is not paid for his expenditure.

The issue is not Fred - it is Mitch and the braintrust simply not given him money for the movie - and they could through in popcorn too!

And, by the way, does anyone think that Fred saves the reciept for popcorn as well?

That's what I don't get. I understand if you own your own business and write of movie tickets for your job if it applied. But Fred works for a company. Fred's ticket should be the Score's expense. Not the government. That's like writing off your meals and hotels on business trips. That doesn't happen. You're company pays for that. But yeah they should all get season tickets if it's legal.

Rock, you probrally can take advantage of it being a producer as well. Get season tickets Rock.

Popcorn is most likely not a deduction.

Beardown, take it even further. The TV they watch the games on should be deductable as well as an "office" to watch them in. I promise you a good portion of Pappyland appears on the tax form each year.
