From Feder today (12 / 28 ):

• Mike North, morning personality of CBS Radio sports/talk WSCR-AM (670), has landed a new television gig. Just weeks after he was dropped by Channel 5 in an NBC budget cut, he's been snapped up by Channel 32.

Starting this weekend, North will join "Fox Kickoff Live" with Corey McPherrin and Tom Waddle at 10:30 a.m. Sundays.

That's great that he will be on the air for 30 minutes before the national coverage starts oh yeah and the Bears only have a max of 4 games left. Is this a tryout for next season perhaps?

I guess this is proof that some local network will always pick up Pappy. I guess they consider it advertisment because he will talk about it on his radio show. Pappy use to be on Fox about 10 years ago I think. I don't watch local pregame shows on TV anyway.

Makes me wonder if he signed this deal before the "chinaman" thing broke. "I Predict" he will not be on FOX for the play-offs because of this.

He's probably the worst Dollars paid per Listener, radio guy in Chicago. These people that award him and give him gigs obviously arent listening but hear about him and how "funny" and "entertaining" he is. he must be funny because he makes soooo much money and he's on the "TOP RATED" sports station.

what they dont realize until its too late is he's not funny, he's far from entertaining, he's waaaaaay overpaid, and he cant even beat the national show down the dial.

They all deserve Mike and the shit that comes with him.

Seriously, that does seem a little odd, you're promoting this 15th anniversary thing every 30 seconds and the guy who's been with you since the beginning is taking the day off
