Dead at 83. Extremely versatile entertainer and director. Forgot his wife was Diane Sawyer. He and Elaine May were comic gold.

Still don't know what happened with "Catch-22"...it had so much potential and had a great cast too. but that wasn't the worst thing he directed...

RIP.
