Sad news for sure. That was some great bad television back in the day. RIP, GGTDM.

Remember when the Gong Show would put their phone number up on the screen prompting potential "talent" to call in for an audition? I was home alone sick from school one day and called the number just because.

The Gong Show operator asked a couple of questions like; What is my act/talent? When would I be in the Los Angeles area, etc. I muttered something stupid and hung up in a panic - I really didn't think anybody would even answer.

Fast forward to the end of the month when the phone bill came in... my dad flipped his lid. "Who called Los Angeles, California?!?" I still remember him yelling at the phone company about taking that charge off the bill. "Nobody was even home!", he kept shouting.

Forty years later, I still deny all culpability in the matter.

I bet when he gets to his final resting place, B&B will be conveniently on.

That's my understanding as well.

I'm also made to understand that, in a tremendous demonstration of how cruel life can be, the poor fucker either ending up eventually losing both his feet or even legs. I mean, you can't get much more fucking awful than having Gene, Gene, The Dancing Machine ended up losing his legs?

Seeing his segments was the most entertaining thing to me when I was a kid. It still is the closest thing to a surefire way to make me happy, temporarily anyway.

Imagine if J Lo showed her tits on whatever show she is a judge on...like JP Morgan did. People would call for Obama to shut down that network!
