I didn't know if I should put in this in the soccer section or here cuz holy shit I was of a mind to pop on the özil kit and hopefully run into a few scousers and remind them of their glorious recent history and inevitable future (beating reading in the FA cup final) but it turns out the soccer/ish spot right by my record store is closed.

I had a fun world cup coming out this way last summer (the streets were loaded with ppl 4 USA. I got a self-avowed spurs fan to toast me to st. Totteringham's day aka the day that arsenal fans and spurs fans cone together every year to celebrate the natural order of football-proper) and yeah I had some good times out this way.

I reckon I gotta go to the globe or what's that place by like grace and Broadway now? Ehhh fuck it. At least the big $$$ bar next door had degrom going on the outside TV so I could have a cigarette and catch a few innings. C'est la vie, no?

English Bar and Grill on LaSalle Street isn't a bad place to watch a soccer match. I took in the 2010 World Cup Final there and the place was loud and packed.

Not sure if you get out to the 'burbs but a few of us here used to hit Quigley's Irish Pub in Naperville.
