Ok, PLAY THE TAPE THEN. Its pretty simple.

He won't play the tape because I'll bet the only difference between what Brian claimed he said and what he truly said is that Brian gave North credit for being able to properly speak the English language. And, it would embarrass the advertisers and station for us to hear the comments North made about Obama, whether they were word for word what Brian said or merely contained the same general idea.
