Frank Sinatra Jr., a son of a legendary singer with a career of his own, has died at age 72. http://cnn.it/1PcZCE8

CNN)Frank Sinatra Jr., the son of the legendary singer who had a long musical career of his own, died Wednesday, said manager Andrea Kauffman.

He was 72.

Kauffman said Sinatra died at a Daytona Beach, Florida, hospital but didn't disclose his cause of death.

Sinatra was on his "Sinatra Sings Sinatra" tour and was scheduled to perform at the Peabody Auditorium on Wednesday. An announcement on the venue's Facebook page said the singer had taken ill.

Sinatra followed his father's singing career path and was a 19-year-old on tour when he was kidnapped by three men in 1963. After three days, two of the men went to go collect a $240,00 ransom, but the other abductor let the son free. The kidnappers were caught and later convicted.

He recently told the Daytona Beach News-Journal that he wasn't upset that his life as a singer was nowhere close to his famed father's career.

"I think in my generation, when I came along in the early '60s, the type of music that was in vogue in society in those days had moved on to another kind of music," Sinatra told the newspaper. "I was trying to sell antiques in a modern appliance store."

Sinatra's father died in 1998.

Developing story - more to come

That series had the absolute best episodes and some of the worst. The Executive Game was one of the best. God, that was awesome!

2. Proper response would be to ask an endless series of follow ups until the person regrets having spoken to you in the first place.

Leave the fucking cheese there, alright! I love fucking cheese at my feet! I stick motherfuckin' provolone in my socks at night, so they smell like your sister's crotch in the morning. Alright? Leave the fucking cock-sucking cheese where it is!
