I believe Carmen was filling in and he retold the story of Pappas approaching Markakis before a game and being shocked that Markakis had no clue who he was. Pappas was of the mindset that Nick should've been aware of a fellow Greek player while Nick was more like, "hey I need to get ready for today's game."
