As a whole, I feel like this show has improved over the last (almost) 2 years. Spiegel has seemingly gotten a little more comfortable, and he doesn't seem nearly as timid to have a disagreeing opinion of yours, this is actually something Laurence could learn from him with regards to being on air with Bernstein.

What I like: the abundance of guests, and good ones. I like the weekly segments with Florio, Joe Cowley, Eddie O during hockey season. I think your embrace of Facebook, and not crapping on Spiegs embrace of Twitter add a little bit of a younger flavor to the show...this is where your audience is headed, you guys have embraced it. I enjoy how your show feels like a polar opposite of B&B's, wherein it seems like you guys actually have a plan, and theirs is chaos. I like both formats, but it's nice to have that 180 done at about 1:20 every day. I like the talk about stuff other than sports, as long as we're talking about music or movies...whatever you do, for the love of whatever god you pray to, stay the fuck out of politics...it's what turned a lot of people off of North, and we all know what he's up to now.

What I don't like: We get it Mac, you're 50. You like the music of the 70's. It seems like you immediately dismiss whatever new music Spiegel tries to introduce to the show for rejoins and whatnot. To me, it feels like this is something that has happened since Finfer came over, because I remember hearing a lot of new bands when Miska was part of the production staff. I don't like the parody songs. Some of them are ok, and a little amusing. Most are really bad, and not fun bad, just bad. This goes for the theme songs for guests too. I know that they aren't going anywhere, and they're short enough that I wouldn't turn off the radio, but they are cringe inducing, and I know I'm not the only one here that shares this opinion.

Read this, don't read this, take something from it, or don't, I don't really care either way.

Like the show normally. Like the show more when Goff is in for Matt.
And I like Matt on Hit and Run. In my opinion the combination of you two doesn't bring out the best in either one of you.

The hallmarks of shows that Dan is involved in is preparation and embracing the listener. I don't get to listen to mid day radio much but it sounds like this show continues the tradition. I am an unabashed Spiegel guy. Since I don't get to listen much I cannot really get into long and heated defenses against his detractors on this board.

Goff and Holmes get Mac out of his comfort zone moreso than Spiegel which can be more interesting and often funnier. Nothing against Spiegel but he's too Mac-y to provide contrast to Mac himself.

Mac/Bernsie would be great. I'd be curious to hear Spiegel/Boers, just to experiment.

But, of the available guys, Goff or Holmes would be a more interesting show.

'Dat's my two cents. Kevin Love is 'da best player in the NBA. I'm just sayin'. Tony's Deli.

I am net positive on Spiegs. The show is fine. I'd prefer it to be the drive home show, and then I would listen more. If Spiegs left, and Goff stepped in, fine with me too. This show is a welcome change of pace from the morning mumblers and drive time grumblers.

The best of Twitter,Facebook, emails, texts, which is on all shows needs to stop or get reduced.

Just has taken up too much of the shows overall.

Good Point,"F" Twitter,Facebook, etc. Social media is bullshit. This ain't "The Jimmy Fallon Show". People tune in to listen to the RADIO. I don't give a rat's ass what somebody "tweeted" 5 minutes ago. I really don't get this fasination over sending a text message to a follower. I was creating Unix scripts to do that 12 years before anyone ever heard of twitter.

Meat has been a little better lately but the show is better when Goff is in and Meat is not there.

It's lazy radio. Why talk about a subject when you can just read short/dumb thoughts that your listeners have?

I think they did Spiegel a disservice by not putting his name in the title of the show. The first impression the entire audience got was that this guy is not an equal part of the show and is as replaceable as any unnamed producer or update guy.

I can't remember any other co-host not being named in the show, except maybe The Rick Telander Show and that show went well.

Its hard to be an equal part of the show when you take 1/3 of the year off.

Can you blame the station though? I'm pretty sure that when the initial negotiations were going on that Spiegel made his Tributosaurus dreams clear. They had to have known that he was going to miss a lot of work because of it.

I think that it's a funny bit that we do here but I really don't think that Spiegel misses any more work than anybody else.

He just takes it a day at a time so it seems like more.

Somebody has to get a count going. Since say...week 1 of the NFL season he has to have missed 40-45 days. I can see a seasoned vet getting a month off....but not Meat. Maybe Loho gave him all of his vacation because he seems to have worked about every single day for the last few years.

There used to be a count, but then people discovered that they liked it better when he wasn't there.
