For the most part, the criticisms are fair enough, but it's rich stuff coming from Mac. Cutler could easily enough lodge the same criticisms against Mac, plus he could cite Mac's shit attendance record. If there's one human on the planet that should empathize with Cutler, it's Danny Mac.

I'm getting a kick out of Mac calling Cutler's actions "divisive"....kinda like how Mac gave the shotgun to a co-worker (Zach), who no longer appears on his show. By the way, I liked that shotgun to Zach.

Cutler walking away is sort of like the times Mac bailed on transition when he was upset with something Boers said.

Didn't Mac walk out during an on-air argument with Tiny?

People who live in glass houses like Mac shouldn't throw stones. Just saying.

At some point you just have to ignore some folks and their biases. Bears could win the Super Bowl and McNeil would still find something negative to say about the guy, so really, why not just tune him out at this point when it comes to Cutler? He'll just always not like him.

While its stupid to hate on Cutler simply for being a jerk, AJ is not that way with the media, nor with his teammates by all accounts.

With the Packers behind both the BEARS and Vikings in the standings, it certainly is a glorious morning!

I see how it is Hawger. 5 to 6 guys rip into the Dangerous one, and they get a free pass. KS does it, and you're all over his ass.

Haters gonna hate, but I know you have a love for Danny Mac, you just have a weird way of showing it.

AJ has had plenty of asshole incidents with his teammates/co workers.

Like Rozner. Gave the bears near zero credit. But he gave tiger no criticism at all. Big bias; bad columns.

To add to this, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be happy if the Bears won the Super Bowl either.

I for one have never seen/heard a first hand account of Cutler being a dick to his teammates. Not counting our little Russell shoulder thing not one. All I hear is a bunch of media and sorts talk guys giving their opinions based on his face during game camera shots or his treatment of THEM.

While I think Cutler does come across like a dick in his news conferences (just like a lot of players), I think he comes across pretty good on his show, like he actually does have a personality and sense of humor.

Mac is about as bad as Mike North. I used to like listening to they guy but he and his show are downright unlistenable radio

I would say this is because of two reasons:

1) He no longer has a need to prove himself. When he got the gig at WMVP he was in radio wasteland so he had to put forth a quality product to get noticed and get paid well. It wasn't a solid a product for 8 years but it worked well enough to where he became the big name in sports radio again in this city. So, when WMVP let him go he had more say for where his next job would be and he got the gig he wanted in his return to the Score. Now, he's 50 plus with kids in college. So, why rock the boat too much? Just do enough to keep the paychecks rolling in.

2) He has surrounded himself with verbal fellatio artists and guys who owe him their jobs (Spiegel and Finfer). They let Mac stray and talk about gout, lighting the Kingsfords, fantasy football, power tools, his televisions, 70s rock music, obscure B1G players from the 1990s and late 70s-early 80s comedy movies. They may "challenge" him and his opinions now and then, which is nothing more than mild disagreement in which one of them will inevitably concede Mac's point saying something like "fair enough" or "we agree to disagree." Mac's their daddy and they are his bitches.

The only solution is a partnership with Bernstein, with Boers as a third wheel in a Jurko role.
