I love when someone criticizes Spiegel like that caller just did. Calling him soft, called him Candyman. Spiegs gets all pissy, then is a pud to the next caller. Love how after that Mac takes a call and says you're on with Mac & Candyman. Everytime it happens I'm waiting for Spiegel to go full Howard Beale.

Music 1964-1979 is dangerously close to becoming 'oldies'

Dan asked why sporting events play so much classic rock? Did he lament that old white people are too afraid to play old-school hip-hop, and then name-drop Eric B. and Rakim?

Remove the date from the thread title and make it a rolling thread.

It seems pretty simple to me. Who does he think is buying the tickets?

The Cubs need to play Kanye West at games. It would really give that starched-shirt organization some desperately needed flavor, soul, and natural rhythm.

Right, the "bringing in a little flavor" line was originally about him, and more than a little eyebrow-raising. How are those subsidy negotiations as Vice President Of Talking To Other Black People going, by the way? or did Theo, in his capacity as Chairman Of Talking To Other Jewish People, commandeer talks?

The proper nomenclature is "urban translator" as coined by Wallace "Gator" Bradley.

The J-ew (Theo Epstein) is using the American Negro (Julian Green) as muscle against the rooftop owner (George Loukas).

Someone needs to get a link up of the Candyman caller. It is absolutely worth hearing again....and again...and probably again.
