Was disappointed that Mac didn't expound on their issues that "are real". It can't all be about Spiegel's comment about Matt's wife, can it? Spiegel makes snarky, off-handed comments to everyone. Hoping for a fun broadcast tomorrow.

Yeah, I was kind of hoping that Mac would elaborate for us and not just leave us hanging. He is usually pretty good with giving the audience a deeper look into whats going on in studio. I will def. be tuning in.

We all know what's going on between these two. Mac doesn't need to elaberate. They hate each other. I'll break it down.

-Drinky did some fat jokes when Spiegel first go to the Score because drinky was pissed that, once again, he got passed over for a talk show opening. Drinky didn't like Mac being allowed to bring in Spiegel. He resented Spiegel. Drinky felt that his cracker ass should have been paired with Mac. So, in classic juvenile drinky fashion, he decided that fat jokes towards Spiegel was the way to handle the situation.

-Speigel took some digs at drinky through the years. Nothing major. Just subtle jabs. Spiegel would often roll his eyes at drinky's attempt at comedy during updates on the midday show. Both he and Mac would show disdain when drinky would try to talk to them during his updates.

-The big attack, of course, was Spiegel calling drinky a "Part-timer" a month or so ago. Spiegel thinks drinky is a no-talent radio hack. He made the comment to put drinky in his place. Spiegel doesn't like drinky's cocky attitude and punk behavior. It was an "I'm better than you" comment from Spiegel. It was also sort of a "Fuck You" for drinky resenting him about getting his position. I'm sure Spiegel always felt that resentment from both drinky and Goff. Spiegel is proud and thinks he got the gig on merit.

-I'm not sure about Spiegel's comment about Drinky's wife. Don't know what that was about . It's been talked about on this board. Nobody has really explained it well

I don't know if it was something he said about Matt's wife or if it was just that he made the part-timer remark at a remote in front of Matt's wife.

I'm forced to side with Spiegel because Spiegel is a good radio host and seems to like a lot of really good music, whereas Drinky embarrasses himself whenever he opens his mouth about music. And that's not even getting into the annoying "Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan!" chihuahua bit he's been doing as of late.

He said Bob Dylan sucked. The end. I think he was also part of the "Steve Goodman, what'd he ever do?" show-wide fuckup.

Maybe he never forgave Dylan for going electric? :-?

I think it was basically just "Bob Dylan sucked. He had a bad voice. Yeah maybe he was a good writer but his voice sucked. So he sucked."

To tie this back into Spiegs vs. Drinky I swear ever since Goff left Matty has transformed into a gargantuan douche, as though he resents being there or something. He would occasionally get his panties in a twist with Dan every once in a while but it seems he's been wang whipped into submission by someone, or if I may put on my Beardown cap for a moment, by his own self-loathing.

I will assure you there is tension.....'ttention please.....in that radio booth tomorrow as it does exist 100%!

Any attempt by either of them to try and act or state that they smoothed it out, or there are no problems is bullshit and WYC material

I think this Ireland trip was probably planned a while ago. Long before the "Part timer" comment I would imagine. So it's not like this trip is an indication that all is good. Big Fan is right. They don't like each other. Never have. Never will.

It's a classic matchup. "FOOD VS. DRINK".

I suspect they'll both lose and both make asses of themselves.

I expect FULL COVERAGE FROM CSFMB. I want "play by play" and analysis from those of you listening. Mark the times of all the weirdness, stupidity and childish behavior.

It's two different flavors of petulant man-children, with Spiegs you get a soft skinned crybaby who bigtimes people for no reason and with Drinky you get this unfunny, acerbic assclown whose hitched his wagon to someone who trolls unemployed drunks for a living. Either way they both end up looking like idiots.

Wasn't the wife comment made by Spiegel on this trip last year, like Spiegel said something like probably my marriage is more secure than yours.

If they did get into in, I will go with Drinky, but that would almost be an embarassment for the station, plan this big trip and the 2 guys u send, start fighting on air.

Why don't they send the two Irish guys to Ireland and move their show to middays to account for the time change? How in the world did we even end up with The Matt Spiegel & Matt Abbatacola Jameson Distillery Road Trip, anyway?

This was from a post from last year's trip

Been trying to give Meat the benefit of the doubt lately but he just comes across as a giant fucking douche a lot of times. Multiple shots at Matt A today in a kind of mean spirited Im only joking but Im really not way. Whats the problem Meat, you jealous that Drinky is younger and had the stamina to go out and pound a few last night while you got your 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep? That last dig of Im just more happily married than you are was a total low fucking blow and a huge guy code transgression. Came off very, very petulant today. You better go with the bedsheet sized Jameson hockey jersey Meat, those European sizes tend to run small
