There are pros and cons across the board, many touched upon and a few unmentioned. When I've listened I've heard hints dropped that in both directions.

To me the question for him becomes Comfort vs. Money. While money is important it wouldn't be unreasonable to consider how much more comfortable he would like to be in his work environment. WSCR has bent over backwards to accommodate him in every aspect except having a drive time show. That many think he is unhappy with his current co-host reflects upon the idea of making him comfortable doesn't mean it will keep him happy.

WGN is really his only option for leverage and they should be willing to pay him and put him on in the afternoons and look to steal a few crumbs of CBS revenue ($128M). But as an investment Mac carries considerable risks, even when happy.
