I'm not so sure. His finger position/movements on the neck are actually the notes played in the song. He's playing a bass, and I think he is finger picking with his real right hand that is covered up by the costume hand.

What I mean is, his real right hand is behind the costume hand, not actually inside the costume hand.

I haven't seen Tributosaurus but my bass player has and likes them a lot. I would guess they are very good, despite Spiegel's work ethic and performance at sports radio.
