A little tension between Meat and Giggles this morning over the parody song-ban that Goff dropped on the show.

I really do not care to hear anymore parody songs but the power Goff seems to have or thinks he has is odd. He is new guy coming in after getting canned in last CBS stop and he has the power? No parody songs, I'll drive and no pre show meeting boom.

No way. Neither of them care that much.

There was clear annoyance in Meat's voice. And his whole life is built around singing other people's songs...you really think he doesn't care that his precious parody songs got smacked down?

He cares much, much less than you do.

Wait, what?

Did this actually happen or am I missing an inside joke?

Nope. It's about time for you to get him lunch.

I've made the full time switch over to WMVP. Do not miss Goof & Grimace at all. Enjoying Carm & Jurko a ton. Not sure why I even listened to Goof & Grimace anyway....old WSCR habit I guess.

There was a thread about it in the 87.7 section, but since it's gone I don't know if the thread can still be found. But, yes, Connor was meeting some of his friends outside of his apartment one morning and there was a homeless/crazy guy yelling about something. Connor made a comment about him to his friends that he didn't think they guy could hear. However, he did hear him, came over, and gave Connor a black eye.

Connor posted a "woe is me" pic of his shiner and brought it up on the show, but much to his dismay he didn't get much sympathy from his co-host, the update person, or listeners.

No inside joke. He made fun of a homeless guy and got socked in the face for it.

He should write a parody song about it.

Turned on this show because I knew Susan Slusser was on to talk about Lawrie, and then I kept listening after they hung up...

I don't know how anyone can listen to Goff and actually enjoy to what they're listening. Truly unlistenable.

Then he went on to yell at Sox fan texters that they are fair and to call in if they want to talk Sox. This after the prior update they run audio from Zobrist and that signing again as well as a triple a rule 5 Cubs move and no mention in the update at all about Lawrie.

It was The Key reason that Mac brought him along. Mac: I'll do Kingsfords, 70's rock, Porn, and fishing. Spiegs, you'll make sure to sing the parody songs in the right key.
