Parkins is obviously trying to level up and create a TV market for himself. He's leveraging his relationship with Cowherd and Wright to create that market. Time will tell if there's any interest in ugly, moderately intelligent radio show hosts on the big screen. It seems his time with best friend Wright has got him motivated to seek TV money.
