Whenever the argument is obviously stupid, then just simply make an attempt to recalibrate the argument.

Then that would be a No

What person would trust the dude whose sole focus this time of year is to argue with Bob about his post count to be the arbiter of what is and isn't of interest to the general public? Just Asking A Question

And it doesn’t help that the NBA has to split their viewers with the WNBA.

I don't think that article provides an accurate assessment of the game announcers.

Doris Burke is a dishonest and obsequious analyst, JJ Redick seems largely uninterested in commenting on the games, and Mike Breen is nothing more than serviceable.

Did they get a Boston bump for a potential title-clincher?

If so, I'm glad Celtics fans came away disappointed. FU, Boston!

Hopefully the Mavs can do it again tonight.

On a separate note, I really like the way Lively plays. He's a tough SOB.

I think Boston+Luka/Kyrie too. I think they are all extremely marketable. If the series were more competitive, ratings would be even higher. Dallas wins tonight and things get real interesting.
Yeah I rock with Lively also. For a rookie that didn't have tremendous hype coming in, he sure has been impactful. To me he's their 3rd best player

Yeah that announcing team is the weakest in NBA announcing history. Doris Burke seems like more of a fan than an analyst and Redick goes put of his way not to ruffle feathers. And I've never cared for Breen either

TNT's guys are so much better at calling a game than the ABC/ESPN crew.

"We" don't have anything to get. "We" know what the best playoffs are, don't "we"? "We" all know who gets the top "television" ratings, correct? Just asking a question.

While a rather weak NBA Draft will be drawing millions of Fans tonight, NFL Network will be showing it's 5th rerun of the day of the Insiders. Nothing says "Must See TV" quite like their version of "Bears All Access With YOUR host Zach Zaidman" and a 2018 Regular Season Game between the Rams and the Chiefs.

Baseball is dying, owners need about $2bil to make up for RSNs. They are playing nine months of hockey and into in late June in Orlando or Miami, I don't know which because the team's called 'Florida'. I just know the turnover to assist ratio for everybody is 500-1. That leaves two healthy team sports.

It takes the Dodgers-Yankees in the World Series for MLB to finally score a ratings win.
Quote:
Via FrontOfficeSports.com, the Dodgers-Yankees averaged 13.6 million viewers. But Giants-Steelers did only 13.4 million, despite an ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 multicast.

Big, if true.

NBA is getting dangerously close to becoming MLB. Every team is the same cookie cutting machine.

Ouch babe!

It used to be. Now? Definitely not.

The NFL has announced that a Nielsen-measured audience of 24.1 million watched Chiefs-Steelers on Netflix. The Ravens-Texans game generated 24.3 million viewers.

In contrast, the NBA’s games averaged 5.25 million viewers.

The short term contracts don’t do them any favors. Like baseball, I don’t want to commit a material amount of time just to know who’s on which teams.

The very rare last name/first name. That's pretty much all I noticed other than the goose stepping and the talking fast. Was it an auction?
