you can now tell us honestly that you did get programming suggestions to push the Cubs both internally from above and externally from the team

At the RTS outing with Bernsie, he admitted that everyone at the station (including Sox fans like Mully and Bernie) benefit financially from pushing the Cubs because of the broadcast rights. The on air talent gets ratings bonuses, and the Cubs were driving ratings higher.

Got about a million for his home. Wonder if he made money? I remember him talking about finishing the basement. So obviously he bought it for less.

But homes have been up recently so maybe he made a few bucks.

Having a million dollar house doesn't mean your rich. You're paying the fucking bank for 20, if not 30 years.

If he redid the basement and installed those very high end appliances, it was pretty close to a break even on the sale.

I understand that he probably was given a helping hand but it does give you insight that the salaries at the Score for the prime on air talent are still pretty healthy.

Didn't Parkins put in a pool as well? His helping hands were Shane and Tanny, so I'll assume the quality of the work is suspect
I'm guessing he purchased it with some of "fatha's money", so he probably had more equity than a normal first time buyer.
I'd love to see where he lives in New York, let's do some digging....

I'm definitely going with this as a slight loss.

The pool was there when he bought it but he built a patio and then had to tear down and rebuild that patio.

Looking at the plaster peeling in the pool on that back of house shot that could absolutely be a Parkins special.

That is a nice house. I think it fronts on Lake St., which kind of sucks, especially with young kids, but keeps the price reasonable. You just spend all your time in the back. While it is an active golf course, you do get it through the winter and at night as your extended backyard.

He was north of Lake.

There is a couple of streets that are north of Lake between the river and the golf course, that are not visible from Lake Ave.

It's a real nice, secluded area.

It’s right off the green at a short little water par 3 at Wilmette Golf Course. I think it’s 6 or 7 for those wanting to do the full Danny Perkins tour.

In 30 years, will it be officially named by government decree the "Danny Parkins House" similar to other great local heroes like the Guy and Cora Belle Wheeler House, the Aubrey and Anna Snow House, and the Henry Bush House?

"Parkins House" sounds like a restaurant, but I don't want to eat there.
