The guys brought up Hawk on 8-28-09 naming the three things that he would want to be if he were re-incarnated:

1. Neil Diamond
2. A hockey player
3. An eye-drop salesman

During transition they had some other ideas thrown around for re-incarnation including Bernsey wanting to be an owl, Mac wanting to be a grouper and Spiegel wanting to be a dolphin. Great stuff! I'd give it a listen for a laugh!

I think LoHo and Bernsie hit it on the head with it being because Hawk had such eye troubles over the years. Even with awesome medical coverage; the insurance companies nickel and dime you to death and Hawk might of had to pay out of pocket for all the treatments/drops/patches/STRETCH/glasses.

How about him coming back as an umpire

I'd rather have Neil Diamond be an umpire than Hawk any day.

I listened to this transition and it was meh for me. Any transition without Terry is usually not going to be very good IMO.

I guess it was funny to me because of the imagery of Bernsey coming back as an owl. I don't why that's funny to me...it just is. :D I suppose I pictured their heads on each of these animals. I laugh at really stupid stuff though.

Topic edit and bump-

I'm guessing I'm probably alone in this suggestion, but I kinda liked M&S/B&B having transition at about 12:45-12:50 today instead of starting it at 1pm. I know it eats into a bit of their time, but I thought it flowed better this way and there was closure with Moby Dick at the end. Always like a show better with some closing music instead of just saying bye.

Thoughts anybody?

I agree Eaglo. I have been thinking that for a while.

Personally, I enjoyed Boers saying in transition . . .

(a) He doesn't really like any NFL national TV guys, but in other sports, there are plenty he likes, so why is it so hard to have good football announcers? Spiegel then rattled off most of the national TV baseball guys and asked Boers if he liked any of them. Of course he didn't, so Spiegel questioned his earlier statement and said who are the national baseball guys he liked. Naturally, he couldn't name one.

(b) He really doesn't like NFL football that much--partially because of (a) above. This from the guy who made anyone out to be an idiot who didn't watch virtually every play Jay Cutler ran in Denver the last few years.

Just because you don't like what you hear doesn't mean you can't watch. I agree btw. Most (over half) of the NFL announcers are horrible.

And how can Meatpants like Phil Simms? he is the absolute WORST. Put Dick Stockton and Phil Simms in the same booth for Raiders games....

I hate to admit it, but I like Dick Stockton for football. I feel more comfortable when I hear him doing football, even with all of the malaprops and other mistakes. Just me I guess. Phil Simms....I like Not Phil Simms.

Yeah, right, we're talking Terry Boers here . . . the guy who created a minor ruckus on this board last winter when he said he may not even watch the Super Bowl. Now all of a sudden those of us who weren't glued to the TV for every Denver kickoff on 3:15 most Sundays the last few years to see the Lord and Savior--who by the way, may not even lead the Bears to the playoffs this year, according to Terry--are morons.
