Spiegs 'friend' and I had a long talk about the Board one day at the show at Durty Nellies. She is all for the free speech. She might not like, but thinks the outlet is good. I told her she can email me anytime for deletions, if soemthing is totally out of line and not just being an asshole.

Spiegs bullet proof vest is developing everyday and soon he will join the fine comments he gets.

Funny thing, the people that hate him most would probably have a great time sitting around drinknig red wine with him.

You do realize that no one is really been nasty with Speegz. No one really said much except that he seems to have a hard time deciding which is the more important thing to do with his career.
No one said he didn't deserve vacation time. It was observed that the timing of his vacations leaves an impression amongst customers that he believe Tributo to be more important than his radio show. This minor observation caused Meat to go absolutely bonkers. He sent in his girlfriend to assail is. He brought it up on air several times. He got snide and mean about it. Meat is the one who really takes the cake here. One small post on a small blog that 100 people read, and he took it to the mattresses. Why?
Speigs you seem like a nice enough guy. But you look like a bit of a twerp in this situation.
I think the board has just as much a right to question your dedication as would you have the right to question the dedication of a baseball player that chooses to take a few days off to go chop down trees or something during the season. You'd question his dedication. You'd question his priorities.
Look, there's guys who are absolutely drooling to get your spot. Fair or unfair, those people will take any chance, any chance at all, to get your spot. So even if it's teeeeechnicially within your rights to take time off to deal with your band (which managed to get mentioned every day you're on the radio ), it is something that can and will ultimately cause someone else, someone more dedicated to the show or station to get your spot. So... you see that although you have the right to do it... I guess it doesn't mean you should.
Don't forget how people IMMEDIATELY questioned Lou Piniella when HE took time off from HIS gig to handle things outside his job. You're not special. the questions would follow anyone in a similar situation.
What was shocking was the pussyass childish way you handled it. I'd give you an F for that.
But... it's not like I think you're a "badguy" or anything.
