This is extremely Beardownish of me, but I think the people who haven't congratulated Finfer publicly on Twitter yet should speak volumes.
Everybody at the Score resented him from the moment he got there cuz he was Mac's boy. Didn't take a genius to figure this would happen. He got there and Mac got him a lot of air time. These are Score boys. They're petulant, petty, hateful, insecure, jealous brats. Of course nobody over there will congratulate him.
But guys bring in their own guys in every business. I've done it & I have worked for guys who have done it. I would suggest to the rest of the bench warmers at the Score to follow the same philosophy that has has helped many a person...don't leave on bad terms with anyone & stay in touch with former co-workers, employees & management. Someday it will help you.
These young guys are making a huge mistake if they think following or acting like Berns is the right way to go.
Of course. Most people know how the game works. Finfer knew early on he needed to befriend Mac. Look how it worked out.
The brat bench boys at the Score, mostly Bernstein's guys, are always looking to say "Fuck You" to somebody. Always looking to get off a good zinger. Be it to guys at the station or anybody else in media. B&B can do that. They don't need friends in the biz. They don't need help.
The producers at THE SCORE need help. They need to learn to play nice with others.
So when drinky fucks around with Spiegel and Mac, it might feel good. Might be fun. But that's 2 people that won't think of him if they need a partner one day. Won't even think of him if they need a producer. Sometimes you have to go along to get along. Especially if you're a subordinate. Gotta bite your tongue sometimes even if somebody above you takes a shot at you.
Like I said, don't you think the people at THE GAME have heard drinky on the B&B show. It's always a try out. Because he acts like a fool, they didn't even consider him.
This has nothing to do with knowing the radio biz. It's how it is in every work place. Nobody likes a stupid jack ass. Especially if you're not that talented.
But what do I know? Drinky probably still thinks his "Fuck You" attitude is how he's gonna make it.
