over the past year or so, I'm thinking Greenberg is the best sports show host in this city --probably in the country. Golic is brutal at times, though

Mac used to talk hockey/attend games/have Blackhawks content on his show(s) pre-2009. Recall he would try to get fans out for Hawks games
by noting it was fun/good environment to drink and not crowded--he called the UC "1901 W Madison".

True, the bits would sometimes be a piss-take on the sorry state of the Blackhawks franchise, one in particular would be to send a producer down to the Blackhawks store
on Michigan Ave and see if anyone came in.

That is sad.

I wonder what Murph is doing. I simply cannot understand how a guy with good ratings and a loyal following did not get picked up by some radio station.

Greenberg is and always has been very good. He plays a character on that show but when you cut through that stuff he's good

Nope. He's the same nondescript guy he has been since his days at the Score. He has made a career off of looking good and saying nothing.

That's a good way of putting it. I dont mind listening to M&M for a half hour or so. It's not a bad show really. But after a couple segments they start repeating themselves almost word for word, so at that point it's time to put on something else.

The main reason I find Greenberg to be a difficult listen is that he often seems to act intentionally obtuse, which might just be his role/character on the show. I don't recall him sounding that dense when he was on WSCR.

He also often sounds like someone who rarely watches sports. For example, last year he thought Cam Newton was the most magnificent thing ever to grace an NFL field, then this year he thought the same thing about RGIII and then Russell Wilson. While all three did look impressive as hell, he sounded like a boy-crazy 14 year-old girl talking about them. He just sounded...silly.
