He's a phony. He wore a Sox hat on SNL back in '93.

He was buddies with Jack McDowell (who was in a band) and would probably now say that was a nod to him.

That would be a weak excuse.

I've never worn Sox gear before. The closest I came was when I attended the blackout playoff game against the rays. I got free tix and went with a cool group of people. I just wore a plain black shirt.

I bought a Sox hat for game #163. Then again, I don't root for the Cubs. I do own hats for around 10-12 different MLB teams.

The late 80's WGN Beach Boys intro was the best. I still play it on you tube just to hear it again. Barbara Ann remade into a Cub song.

That he is, unless Robert Feder is already performing someone's ass-licking. Larz had a write-up of the DeCastro firing that, when you split the difference with Feder's hagiography, gives a clearer picture of what went down.

Is that really him?

Trust me, once you know it's Spiegel, you can't unhear the Spiegelness.

Everytime I hear "Jump" from Van Halen, I think of that '84 team...

I'm old skool, the Score should have just kept the old "It's a beautiful day for a ball game..." jingle.

Got to admit though, nothing fires up a cub crowd more than Ernie B signing "Holy Mackeral"...ahhh good times.

Once again, CH sends me to the dictionary.
