It's only going to be a matter of time before Parkins lets loose on Grimace's super important musical career. It will be glorious when he shits on his joy.

To be fair, how can you live 30 years without knowing basic music knowledge. I mean not knowing a Rolling Stone or Who member is like never hearing of Coke or Pepsi. Danny seems a bit odd. Got his parents to bankroll his online poker habit is probably just the cherry on top. Mitch really loves to hire weirdos

Maybe he doesn't care about old music?

Blasphemy!

Which would you rather have on sports talk radio?

A 27 year old sports radio host who knows sports, but isn't intimately familiar with 40 year old bands, or a 40 year old cover band singer, moonlighting as a sports radio host, that isn't intimately familiar with sports?

Maybe he's a big Tupac fan.

Yeah maybe he's one of the enlightened few who know how much better music will be 20 years from now so why bother with all that old crap.

People sure get touchy because you don't think the music they like is the greatest thing ever.

I enjoy listening to music but have little knowledge of it. It just doesn't interest me. I could name one member of the Stones and the Who combined.

Gotta problem with it? Come at me, bruh.

At least these guys are both showing genuine passion about the issue. Even coming out of the break, you could tell they were arguing off air. "Just say it on air, I can take it."

It's a good pairing because they have very different opinions on topics. It is not contrived at all. I still can't believe Spiegs pulls out the, "wait 10 years until you're older."

Perkins should've countered that with " will I have been divorced twice by then too?"

Certainly. Spieg's life lessons are basically learned through negative outcomes. You wonder if it's just dumb luck that he has failed relationships both with on air co-hosts and in his personal life? At some point, he'll need to look in that wide mirror and point the thumb. "I lost my Biscuit to the German."

He is being such a constant d-bag to Parkins.

Several years ago, during one of Mac's extended absences (or maybe when he was finally gone) Leery co-hosted with Spiegel for several days or a week. Here you had two of the most disingenuous and condescending guys at the station and Leery came off as the more likable one.

That's how bad Spiegel is.

There was a lot of petty sniping between the two and IIRC it was Spiegel who initiated it.

I'd bet a LOT of money that if you guys needed to save your families by naming more than one member of the Stones/Who you could do it.

... and I know the name of the guitarist - I just can't recall it right now.

On a side note, Spiegel needs to be fired immediately. Every damn time I turn on the radio he's having a heart-to-heart and talking about feelings/conflict. The dude needs some serious therapy. It's a sports station.
