Well genius if you paid attention yesterday I said I would give the "new" Bernsie show a chance.

It is nice.

Gonna give Bernstein/McKnight another go tomorrow. Not real hopeful after today's show.

Yeah, my hopes aren't as high after a segment or two this morning.

I don't come in with McKnight baggage. But, I've heard both things I like and don't from him.

Can't do it will continue per Parkins and Mac thinks it will be fun for him

That seems like it would be right up Mac's alley as he's long been a fan of uncomfortable radio.

During the Tom Thayer interview, all 3 talked about how
“Measurables” don’t always apply, performance matters.
A shot across the bow of Bernstein! Love it!

Agreed.

But Thayer's point would have been better if he wasn't pointing out how much better Covert's measurables were.

My Caddyshack Mac drop talking about Parkins was better.

It's the only time I'll best Tanny at that kind of editing. He's great.

Parkins addressing the criticism that he personally back doored Spiegel and was "in on it" with the changes.

Danny said he knew nothing and found out about all this on Monday at 2 pm with Mac in the room.

Still considers Spiegel a good friend.

I do like Parkins.

That is pretty shitty for him that he had the whole show to his house for a big dinner when half the people already knew they were fired.

Yep. That had to be big ouch right there. Especially when Spiegel was was talking on Monday that it came out during the party that he considered quitting the show early in because of his friction with Parkins.

Did they know that? Parkins didn't find out until Monday. Spiegs obviously didn't know.

...and all the Producers/Sound surgeons kept their current shifts.

Yeah, I understand why he'd want to set that record straight.

I thought DP...nope...probably not the best abbreviation....Parkins had said that Spiegel knew on Friday. Maybe I didn't hear it correctly.

Exactly how I feel. B&G was nails on a chalkboard. I do think Parkins will be told the SJW stuff ain't happening. Especially after Mac said, "You Will." After wondering if management will let him know how they feel about the social issues.

I'll be curious to know if they increase the listener interaction.

I know with this first show they are just riffing. But, I've been listening for a while and I don't know if they've taken a call.

Parkins has been growing on me. Admittedly, I wasn't a fan at the start but I kept the jury out before sentencing. I do enjoy him with Mac. However, I wish they were doing the 9 to 1 shift. I would be able to hear the entire show while at work.

I am with you Godfella on the time slot for same reason. I am over the moon with Bernsie biting it though.

Also, they will be preempted often for Cubs' day games.

Mid-days are bad for me, typically. My morning through late lunch are usually dealing with the problems of the day before 2pm-ish when I can sit and listen to something at my desk while I deal with the actual work I meant to do that day when I walked into the office.

I'm fine with it as the afternoon spot is the prestige spot and Bernstein losing it has to be a major warning that his shtick is not welcome

Yeah, I think some very clear messages were sent with this shakeup. I kind of seen the Goff thing and even Spiegel a bit but McKnight returning in a full time slot was completely out of left field for me.

People had to have known something was up when Mac was hosting shows on Sundays. And Parkins hosted a show with him at one point.

I think we all knew here that between DeCastro coming in and Parkins doing a Sunday morning with Mac, there was an audition going on.

Dan owes Spiegel nothing as he is the reason Spiegel existed at 670 in the 1st place.

As for Goff, fuck him and his now neutered former co-host
