Say it is sports. Thinking 125k for year? It is prime drive time.

It doesn't mean that at all. They had Parkins solo to save money. Does giving Bernstein a partner mean he couldn't hack it solo? Very few hosts can pull off a solo show and the ones that do continually have the producers chiming in.

Let's hope it's Spiegel. That combo was excellent when it was broken up and they have sounded great when paired over the last few months. And hopefully this would get Shane to pipe down. His antagonistic shtick is getting annoying.

I've heard Rahimi more the last week or so as I've been in the car quite a bit. She makes me miss McKnight. Seems like they just wanted to be socially correct and give the job to a woman who wasn't Julie DiCaro. I'm thankful she didn't get it but Rahimi brings nothing to the table.

Damn! I don't think I'd go that far.

She does nothing for me either and I am less likely to listen because of her. I agree that a major reason she was hired was because she's a woman and the Score wants to look diverse. There are many candidates that would have been a better hire.

All the Score salaries are hitting rock bottom. The big money guys will be in for a wake-up call if they re-up. The afternoon side kick will be Mr Cheap.

I can see why people think it is meatpants, but something just seems to obvious about that. And if that is the choice why wait so long to announce it? I am guessing it is someone else...wasn't there a guy who came in for a couple days awhile back that used to be with Parkins in KC? Maybe that guy.

You’re in luck...McDoink filled in for Waddle a bit this week...didn’t listen though. Heard his voice, groaned, and PTFB..

I did. He's dropped his in-FLECT-ions down to a minimum. THAT, in ITSELF, makes for a HUGE improvement.

I think Matt will be able to be focused on his primary work for at least the next six months. He was pretty good when he was dedicated to sports talk. He can be a bit sentimental and doesn't take a joke well but he seems bright and interested.

Ya I caught a quite a bit of Rahimi and Bernsie and it is quite awkward. There is just no chemistry there. Maybe they will work it out maybe they wont. Transitions with Mully and Haugh are the worst at this point in regards to the awkwardness.

I think Rahimi is in the same place as some others. Pretty good in small doses but on every day for 4 hours the appeal loses its muster. I put Heron, Grote, etc in this same category.

The station is going to have a female in the lineup. She is not great, but she is a better option than July. So we gotta be happy for small blessings.

Spiegel and Parkins have been telling too many "jokes" about who it is going to be for it not to be him.

Yeah, whoever told Shane he was funny and encouraged him to be more involved in the show should be fired.

A rare thread where everyone who posted is correct! The chemistry between Danny and Matt is there and to fail to take advantage of that would be a tremendous oversight. And Leila and Dan have the opposite. No chemistry. And some of the pauses before Leila speaks could be used to put in another show. Preferred solo Dan.

The pauses remind me of old Jim Rome. Where id literally start fidgeting with the buttons because I thought I lost signal...

It’s hilarious cuz you know Dan hates it

He needs to teach Leila how to do the Boers/Goff space-filling stammer.

Is that because they aren’t in the studio together? I noticed the pauses and ox Ass talking over one another.

Dan and Terry were rarely in the studio together for their last ten years; I don't think it's the technology that's the problem.

Spiegs in all next week. It would be strange to announce a different partner while he's hosting.

I think they did that to Laurence Holmes with Patrick Mannelly.

It is a little weird. If they know it's Spiegel already, why not just announce it on Monday? Why wait until midweek since he's there all week anyway.

But radio is a weird business. So I guess that's the answer.

I support the porn industry. Same with strippers. That's where women are great performers. I'm part of the many guys that help those ladies make a living. Julie never gives us credit for that.

Did all the hosts working remotely buy themselves codecs and have ISDN lines run to their homes? I doubt it, and would guess a lot of them are just on their consumer grade internet connections using Zoom or, if they're smart, Source Connect, but that all introduces a ton of latency compared to ISDN.

Could be that they are finalizing who is going to take over for Spiegel on weekend mornings for baseball. They can announce the whole package at once.

Or maybe there will be an occasional third person in the mix?
