I don't see it as an incictment. It'd be hard to do a radio show everyday if you didn't really want or know how to talk to your cohost. I thought he was really good on MJH for about 5 years or so.

A permanent Goff-Mac pairing might be advisable. Mac desperately needs an injection of relevance to fend off his accelerating Northification. He knows nothing about sports and less about pop culture.

I wouldn't like it much as I hated that show but I'm being realistic. Boers isn't going anywhere and if you move him at all then to Mac makes the most sense as they seem to at least have some play off each other.

It might make Boers more interested.

More than anything, a Mac and Goff pairing would inject the youth needed in the show to keep it from gettng stale. The fact is that Spiegel is 40 or so, Goff is 28 (I think). At 40, Spiegel is only 8 or so years younger than Mac, so you really are getting a good sampling of the same generation of experience (all be it from different regions). I think Goff could easily kill Mac's constant Alice Cooper, 70's, North Dallas Forty nonsense.

That's why I like when Greenstein is on, he's younger, he injects some youth into the show, but when they go the pop culture route, he turns into Michael Faggy Buble.
