I can't listen to Spiegs now without thinking of him in an Iron Man suit.

Finji should cue up some mechanical Iron Man suit noises when he talks.

Today's HOF announcement is invalid without both Robbie Alomar and Blyleven getting in...but as usual, the BBWAA is filled with morons, so it will get fucked up.

SJ, I think Bert Blyleven gets in, but I'm not so sure about Roberto Alomar. The official announcement is part of a 90 minute special on MLB Network at 12Noon this afternoon.

Meat complains about how people get more and more votes as time goes on.

Then when asked about Jeff Bagwell's HOF worthiness, he says maybe eventually but not yet.

Which is it IronMeat?

Do they really need 90 minutes for one or two guys to get in?

Bert Blyleven does not belong in the HOF.

Name one big game that he won.

Give me a "Bert Blyleven" HOF moment without Google.

His 280 wins and his 160some complete games you twat. Also the fact that he pitched a lot of bad bad bad teams before free agency, and he missed a couple of years in his prime due to injury.

Question still stands.

Gave you a response without and then with Google (baseballreference.com to be exact)

Reading comprehension is indeed a skill.

With Bob on the air, it seems like the ideal time to lead the Browns to the Super Bowl.

Not many big games to pitch in when you are on crappy teams your whole career.

When he was elected to the Hall earlier today because of his stellar career, you dickface.

But he made the most of it when he pitched in October:

Career postseason numbers: 5-1, 2.47 ERA, 1CG, 43H, 47.1Inn, 1.07 WHIP

Blyleven backers always site shitty teams and bad run support

In reality his run support was right on par with average or a little above.

In his 10 best ERA+ years, his teams scored 2% OVER the league average.

Yet he still managed to lose 250 times.

He was an all star twice. (Like Shawon Dunston)

He never placed higher than 3rd in Cy Young voting.

Fergie Jenkins hall of fame moment was probably when he won his 20th game for the 6th year IN A ROW

Something Blyleven never did.

But Jenkins had the benefit of all those great Cub teams right?

A two time all star over a 20 some year career. Never finished higher than third in Cy Young voting.

Not a HOFer to me.
