I really hate Brussel sprouts. I think I'm going to start a daily thread in the Food/Drink section letting everyone know this.

Or maybe I just won't eat them.

I think the problem with Spiegel is that he tries too hard to act just like Mac. Also, his reliance on the "we're happy for ya" drop has gotten very, very old.

Wow, mac taking some shots at Meat and his Mmmm Hmmms. Basically saying what we''ve been saying... that it's a "not Listening Mechanic".
Nice.
Mac you say some shit about this guy when he's not in i've noticed.
I don't know if that's good or bad juju.

Anyway, you're right. I hate the mmmhmmms too. A lot. But I hated his crying about it more. guy can't take a serious, honest criticism.

Who was the guy that told Jason he didn't sound white enough to be full time on air? Any guesses?

He says Mac doesn't know the guy. hmmmmm....

I would've guessed OPV, but the second part of your post debunks that.

Yeah. He also said this guy was producing around the time Goff started on B&B....

So sometime in 2002 or so?

Mark Joliff? Rick Geiser? Tim Bock? Jesse Rodgers? Jerry Riles?

My guess is Riles. He said the guy told him that he took speaking lessons. Just a guess, but I'm pretty confident that it's him...

So, what you're really saying is the Mac Show is no more original than an Elmhurst Steve call/text.

No. I'm saying this is the same tired idea that is posted all the fucking time here by you and other people.

We get it. You think the show sucks. Its not funny and not original. Thats great. The same can be said of this thread and your thoughts on the show. Come up with something new or keep to yourself son.

 Wow! An unoriginal post about an original thread. Thanks for your thoughts numb nuts, we all know how you feel but thanks for stopping by and barfing out some more shit for us, it really set this thread back on track! We know how you feel about his "stuff", which is fine....but if that's how you feel why the fuck do you need to click on this unoriginal thread and tell us all over again? Next time please keep it all on the inside, champ! Hope this helps! :)

Anyways,

And I agree with spmack about Meat not bringing out the best in Mac. Goff certainly does, the show is great today with an easy flowing vibe and no incomfortable silences. They don't seem to be bickering with each other which is what the Mac/Meat Maching has kinda turned into. The Mac/Meat experience that started out with so much fanfare, love, energy and had all the likeness of a runaway freighttrain has now ground to halt. Time for a change, Mitch! Do as Ivan commands!

I have no problem with Meat, I just think he needs a new partner. He does well with Goff, Rozner and he even sounded decent with Bernsie. Just not Two-some with Mac anymore.

Riles, eh? I suppose that would make the most sense.

Good stuff.

Jeff and I had the same exact discussion Wednesday

Goff makes Mac a little younger, and the show is more upbeat.

I didn't necessarily agree though. I guess I'm in the minority that prefer Spiegs with Mac. Don't get me wrong, I like Goff with Mac or Goff with Spiegs, but I do like the energy and sometimes general goofiness and pop culture references that Mac & Spiegs provide. Maybe it's my age showing and having similar interests and relating to these guys a little more.

I'd actually love to see Goff and Drinky have a show together. That'd be a fun one, IMO.

It was fun bad! Maybe because they weren't as polished as they are now.

Are we talking about the short-lived Loho, Goff, and Drinky experience? I can't remember if Zaidman was there as a host or update guy, but it was such a hilarious mess. I wish it could be revisited in some fashion.

Tommorow should be fun, White Sox get swept at home, Cubs lose 2 of 3 at Colorado, Blackhawks season all but over, if it wasn't for the Bulls, they would be talking people off the ledge and blowing the sirens.
