It's the trend. 3 times in 1 month. Each time it has been used it needed to be done. The other reporter type was a blowhard from Dinver.

They shotgunned some spaz from Denver. Although unprofessional, the guests they've shotgunned have deserved it.

Naahhh......doesn't bug me. IMO, Mac doesn't like ZZ's content a whole lot so if shotgunning him resulted in taped spots, win-win. And if they don't like the other 2 writers, they definitely won't be coming back on. Shotgun ends it quickly without the awkwardly quick "O.K....thanks for coming on".

Not every host's style but to each his own.

KS- Is it also a coincidence (or post hoc ergo propter hoc, if you will) that Zach pre-recording his segments for Mac's show occurred just after he got shotgunned?

That is also not a coincidence. But surprisingly, in that particular situation, it is Zaidman being the bitch instead of Mac.

Aren't you reading a lot into that? Maybe it's just easier for him to pre-record it at practice. Why are you stirring up fake radio drama, KS? Trying to be like your hero, Beardown?

Agreed, I like the shotgun when it is deserved..like in ZZ case..nobody wants to hear ZZ ..he offers up nothing..did not hear the NY guy get gunned but I am sure it was deserving...and ZZ is a lil bitch.

I'm all for shotgunning any turd scribe from New York. The majority of them think they, and their teams, are the center of the universe.

I don't think the shotguns were undeserved...I just assume that after the Denver scribe they began warning guests to not suck...or else.

I learned it at Gordon Tech in between Wood Shop and Basic Power Mechanics.

When they were on Belmont they could afford to shotgun guests. They were far more caller intensive and print media hadn't contracted, in essence there were more potential guests than shotgun shells. Now they are part of a big network and the desire is for them to get guests from the network. With podcasting and twitter there can be fallout from treating CBS guests in such a manner, from not getting guests to not being invited on other shows to being invited and getting reciprocal treatment. It doesn't fly at ESPN/ABC and I doubt the suits in NYC want to see a trend.

Locally the only athletes they get are either paid or on shows produced by the team.

Not much of a story. I hated that my parents shipped me to an all boys Catholic school where I couldn't get in to any more trouble with my Evanston buddies. Looking back, it probably did keep me from flunking out though.

I wouldn't recommend single sex school for boys. I don't think it matters for girls. They're going to interact with guys regardless. But fuck, that shit caused some serious social retardation for me. I have friends that haven't gotten over it yet.

I didn't actually take any shop classes, which made me an oddity at a school where guys were going to learn how to be plumbers. I was in something called the "Honors Program" that was supposed to be for the elite students on a college prep track. After freshman year I was ranked 25/26 in the program. I remember my dad saying, "At least you're smarter than one guy." I'm pretty sure number 26 was my friend Lou Demas.

Agreed on going to school with girls. I don't think my charm would translate well to the couple of hours a week that weekend parties provided. The ladies needed to see me on full display relating catholic theology to the bulls triangle system in order to appreciate what I could bring to a relationship.

They just replayed the guy. He was a turd. As an aside, the Warren Zevon "Excitable Boy" was a nice tune choice.

Actually find the shotgun damn funny, just loses it's zest when Mac was the one crying the day B&B were on remote and didn't wanna do transition, the day the "Feelings show" was born...he would be the first guy in line crying if someone pulled that stunt on him

The all guys High school thing makes more sense to me. I barely made it out as it was. With all the other distractions of beautiful women, I would have flunked out for sure. I ended up getting married young anyway.

All boys schools are a bad idea in principle. If you are really preparing me for college, and then the workforce, why are you eliminating half of who I will be competing with in college and the workforce?

Learning to work with the opposite sex is part of it.
