It's a situation that has been building for some time. One of the first building blocks was the Jose Bautista transition when Spiegs was skewered for his non-steroids stance -- and he's been highly sensitive/argumentative in tranny's since.
Part-timer shot at Drinky confirmed my beliefs and his Memorial Day tranny snub was the icing on the cake.
It seems Mac and others are in prime button-pushing zone with Matt -- Spiegs willingly takes the bait -- but he looks increasingly infantile as time goes on.
I think Matt might just take his ball and go home before he's shown the door.

Don't forget the Jack O'Callahan incident, where Spiegel in his most condescending, douche-y way, asked OC how it felt to peak at 20 with the Miracle On Ice. Jack, rightly insulted, went on to rattle of a litany of things he's accomplished since February 1980. Grimace tried his best to backpedal, and Mac left him out to dry. It was great! He was a pissy little bitch the remainder of the show that day. Clueless, self-entitled asshat!

Not that anyone necessarily gives a shorn squirrel's sac, but reading this thread, going back and reading (a little re-reading, too) of other instances .... I'm finally comfortable enough to say fuck Spiegs in the ear .... that prick had the world as his oyster and all he seems to have done is completely fist-fuck this opportunity into oblivion with his nonchalance attitude towards the show exceeded only by his shit treatment of his co-workers .... all in all, that halfwit indignant porpoise gives me the anger shits.
