Yup. Rome into MJH was how I got into this sports radio mess as well. I also discovered this online community because of Mac.

Good luck. I'm looking forward to listening when I can. Do some remotes/events out south will ya?

... for your ears... and for your interest.

This has been one of the most unusual weeks I've experienced in radio. One day, I'll reflect on it, either on the show or here. Your "coverage" of it here has been a valuable tool, as it always has been. Thank you.

I get the doubters. I get the haters. Earned it and earned it. All good. What I don't accept is the billboard here for our new shows: Dan Bernstein (no Connor). Parkins & Mac (and implying me as a "repeated failure"). 85K? Good one! Nas, is this you? Mourn angrily in your posts all ya want, but put the fucking names and descriptions of the new shows up there in an accurate, professional manner.

First two days were acceptable in my books, my thinned out voice excepted. That'll pass. Parkins is well en route to becoming a star. I've been clamoring for a new, YOUNG star for a decade. Now he's my point guard and I'm the shooter. Lovely for us both. I've liked and respected Shep since I've known him ('09) and Tanny is a fucking amazing talent. Not to get my head out over my skis 10 hours in, but I agree with whomever suggested this show has the potential to be an all-timer.

Bernsie and Connor have been enjoyable when I've heard them. I missed their transitions with Mully and Hanley Days 1 & 2 but I won't in the morning. I enjoyed our first shortie with Laurence today. His enthusiasm for the Bears and NFL when he produced Jiggetts and me, Platteville of 2000, connected with him as sports/football lovers and I intend to feed off of what he does best -- Bears. #Team

Lastly, I hate it that Matt Spiegel and Jason Goff have been rocked. In a city of, what 7, 8 million? And there are a dozen... 15 good jobs. Pause and think about that. Our business sucks like no other. I sincerely hope the best for both of them. I fucking brought Matt back to the Score and wasn't at my best a couple of times during our five years. He had my back. He almost invariably gave 100%. I'm thrilled to be back, especially in afternoons, my home of homes, and I have an all star cast show, but I haven't once this week done a touchdown dance.

and there is not enough talent to properly fill those 15 jobs. Pause and think about that.

Congrats, Mac. I like when people get the last laugh after being lampooned and disrespected.

Looking forward to a lot of mindless, entertaining radio!

Good fucking riddance, shitty "Smart Radio"!!!

It honestly felt like a seismic shift at the station the likes of which have not been felt since Mike North torpedoed the golden era. Bernstein was the Oliver Cromwell (no relation to Nolan) of the Score's Britain. It was necessary to rid the station of the North era but we all paid a price.

He was never worried about pretense or looking goofy - it was, truly, all about the fans.

Murph didn't do anything to get fired - they really should bring him back - at least to host hit 'n run.

A very sincere welcome back Dan.

The Score fan base needs some healing. You are going to get some pushback from the faux intellectuals like schmutzie, unemployed lawyer, etc., calling it the dumbing down of the Score. That always seemed odd as the people with the most skins on their wall at this place, and there are many, all preferred your form of radio.

It was me. Nas had nothing to do with it. Bernstein did not have an announced partner when I changed that subforum name, and it would be accurate to call you a repeated failure.

But this response shows a bit of insecurity. There may be a reason for that. You realize places like this board can make or break you. Jimmy deCastro all but confirmed it.

Additionally, how shitty do you feel that you talked up being a purveyor of fine Ford trucks only to have deCastro refer to that as some bottom of the barrel job you had to take in order for you to become humble?

Anyway, I won't catch your show much as I am a Waddle & Silvy guy, but I will be there from time to time. Good luck. I'd rather you have the prime time afternoon drive slot than Bernstein, and I think Parkins has been great since being in Chicago. I don't want to be all negative; MJH was my all time favorite.

I'm not an MVP guy. Never have been. Mostly because my bathroom radio does not tune it in good enough compared to SCR.

He’s arguably the most successful sports radio host in the history of Chicago. You’re hilariously wrong.

He is. Lasted longer than North in a more competitive market than Coppock experienced during his prime.

I believe Mac's firing from 1000 was about his contract being too big during the financial crisis, not underperformance.
