Bernstein is technically in the city. But where he lives is the same as the suburbs. I guess he can claim that there are a lot of Mexicans. But there are a lot of Mexicans in the suburbs as well. Probably the same percentage. There are a lot of Mexicans every where. But he doesn't live around black people. Despite his claim that he wanted his kids to be around black people. It's mostly white people in his neighborhood.

Is Mt. Greenwood really the city? What about Copland on the northwest side? What defines "real" Chicago for these purposes?

The real Chicago experience is where the streets are "Numbers". I guess. Throw Bernstein on the south side. They'll love him. And his kids will see brown people.

Granted, where he lives isn't Deerfield. That's 100% white. Except for Bears or Bulls players that might live there. But where he lives is not much different than Park Ridge.

Sauganash isn't much different from Park Ridge. Bernstein lives in an actual gated community.
