I'm not sure expanded-tier cable TV has a promising future, either, but it's better than Audacy.

Those cable shows have a way of getting ancillary revenue by creating couple minute bits that can be blasted over every social media platform with ad supported revenue. Short form video gets decent money for publishers and all they have to do is clip something they already produced.

He did what? I don’t remember that.

Right after the Hawks won the Cup in 2015, he tweeted that they celebrated their win by passing Cheryl Scott around the dressing room instead of the cup, then he got yelled at Jerry Taft and didn't show up to work the next day.

This was only the second-most misogynistic comment a Score host made after the Blackhawks won a championship.

Weren’t they calling Cheryl a pin cushion?

I see this move also getting him on gambling things which he loves.

On last week's show, Holmes did say to Bernstein "as long as we're partners for a few more weeks"......

He could be joking, but obviously hinting at a breakup with Parkins leaving...

Plus there will probably be some related podcast, maybe weekly, maybe gambling related.

Hell, old man Tony Kornheiser is still doing a 3x/week podcast talking with his son and a couple of phone-in guests per show, distributed by Audacy and with 8 minutes of commercials in an hour.

It's possible and I hope it happens. Bernstein is at his best during Bears season, larry has destroyed that.

This show can't end soon enough, they're doing the same show they did after (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and Fields' first preseason game: pretending they've never seen a Bears QB do anything before. Parkins acting like he's the only one in town who watches out of market games and then saying how amazed he is by Williams post game play diagnosis. Every QB in the league does that every week yet Parkins is the NFL oracle. This isn't a Williams critique, it's these know nothings trotting out the same things they always say, the QB doesn't matter.

This is a huge win for Chicago sports radio listeners. 7½ years of pure agony over!

Great, but who replaces him? Spiegs was the main reason I couldn't listen to the show. Parkins just had bad sports thoughts, but Spiegs comes off as a giant douche.

Honestly, might as well ride it out with him.

Welcome to the Spiegs as face of the Score era. Probably the era where they run it down into oblivion.

He probably won't until after his radio marathon this week.

That explains why he got made and short with Grote last week. Grote may have accidentally let the cat out of the bag. Perkins sounded legit pissed at Grote. Hope no blowback on Grote

That would be a fun afternoon show. Listening to the pairing before, I feel Grote and Bernstein would be a good show as well. Neither Spiegel nor Grote take shit from Bernstein.

Haven't listened in awhile, but does Parkins have takes that are sufficiently irrational or divisive to warrant slinging on national TV? Being a massive Cubs homer and having an undying love for Justin Fields isn't going to get it done, I don't think. There's certainly hay to be made in calling sports fans racist, but that's ESPN's shtick, is Fox Sports looking to be dragged into the Woke Wars?

Parkins definitely didn’t have an undying love for Fields. He wanted Caleb.

Did you just recently start listening? He Loved Fields until he didn’t. Same with Nagy, and Mitch before him.

I don’t think he had an undying love for any of them, he thought it made for good radio.

Honest to God, I never heard any real difference between him and Jordan Bernfield or [insert clone here]. Like, platonic ideal of a perfectly acceptable weekend guy.
