I'm a big fan of Mac's, but I have absolutely no desire to go to this event. I can picture the 6 or 8 CSFMB regulars standing in the front row pumping their fists in the air during the Tributasaurus performance. "Spiegel...you rock"!!!

We can picture you in your Walter Payton jersey with your pants around your ankles.

I own two jerseys...Payton & Sandberg, my two favorite athletes. I will proudly wear my Payton jersey with my pants at my ankles Friday night.

Aren't you too old to be a groupie?

It must be a packed show as I tried to hit Mac up for a pair of freebies and he directed me to either ticketmaster.com or the Dirty Nellies box office.Must need the money I guess.

No SID , Eddie actually bought them and his wife shit-canned that deal which left me hanging as he has to entertain her friends at Mullet night at the Sox game. You think that cheap screw would of gave me his 4 instead of Dougie . I'm happy for Doug as he's a diehard and Mac fan but the question should be posed what did I do wrong to Slapnuts.

You have to be shitting me. $7 is a 20% service charge. That's friggin insane.

Has Mac criticized anybody for being cheap for not shelling out the money? After all, it's all u can eat food, booze and a live band. It's actually not a bad value if you enjoy the Rolling Stones.

Likewise, if you don't like either the Rolling Stones or Matt Spiegel its a lousy deal.
I'll be in Iowa for a weekend of racing.

Downgraded to doubtful.

I just checked my bank account. I have $35 for the ticket but I don't have the $7 for the handling fee.

I RE Raise the question

What the hell does the crowd do during a parody song set? Besides wait in line to buy drinks because the free drinks end before ParodyStock begins.

The planning of this event is atrocious

The parody song set is wierd. A set of Stones songs is pretty much a surefire crowd pleaser, so thats totally understandable.

My $0.02: $42 is a tad steep but Mac has been very kind to a lot of the boarders (myself included) over the years. Many freebies have been had by a lot of us, so I would be going for sure if I wasn't going out of town.

I guess I see your point, but its not like Mac is hurt by us not showing.

If your buddy is in a band and wants you to come because he's afraid of playing for 2 people thats helping a brother out.

Id be more inclined to donate to Autism charity to help a brother out.

The money is steep.
But, the open bar (limited) ending before the music is the killer.

Yeah, it is kinda screwy. I mean I would tend to think that something like a $5 cover charge, pizza buffet or something cheap like that, and a really solid drink special (i.e. $1 drafts) would probably bring in a lot more people.

The Score would have better off promoting this like any other event where attendees are on their own for food & drink with no advanced ticked purchases necessary.

Doesn't anyone else find it ironic that the world's greatest Blackhawks fan, Big Chief MacHawk himself planned his anniversary event to go head to head with the opening night of the Hawks Convention? This has to be a very tough choice for bigfan!

$43 bucks aint that bad as we went to the "Tilted Kilt" on Saturday night (a must for you guys here wow ) and I don't drink and the bill for 3 guys was $225 and all we did was drool at boobies for 3 hours.

For you Southwest burbs guys may I also recommend the 'Silver Slipper" strip club in Ottawa , Il as a trip totally worth the effort. I haven't seen this many shaved beavers since I stopped by the wild game meat market in Lockport many years ago.

The would have been better off having this in MAY...around the Anniversary of the Show....rather than August...when people have things to do.

I have been to 2 fan conventions

1. Got a free ticket to attend Bears convention for a day. Was there for an hour and left.
2. Went to Cub convention on a Saturday at the end of the day, without a ticket, had a group of us in the are and we wanted to see this group for ourselves and I would advise anyone and everyone to never attend any fan convention.

Mac is not a big fan of 'conventions' - a bunch of creepers....

I can't believe he's missing the first day of Bears Camp.
