It's a Kumbayah moment ... and it's them against the world.

Great gobs of whaling bride shit, what a three-ring fuckstick circus.

Probably for the best. I have a meeting in 15 minutes.

These guys also love talking about how hard their job is and the impact that these stories have on themselves.

"This is why you don't go in hard for people that you don't know."

But ......... apparently it's okay to go in hard against people? Or to go in hard for unknown rape accusers?

Kiss my black ass.

I equate the danger of reporting on the Patrick Kane story to moving on a Taliban stronghold.

I mean they make this sports talking to be so dramatic and dangerous. Like each day they're going into war or something. It really is amazing the culture at that station. Just how delusional they all are.

But think of how entertaining the shows could be with Beardown's script writing talent...

The show would blow, but the meetings with Mitch would be priceless.

What a bitch. Totally worthless.

it's not even that, though! He was right on the money if this was applied and aimed at BernSTINE. It was a slam fucking dunk, easy money. Yet he slinks away. So fucking worthless.

Seriously.

How is the station paying a price? Is he referring to the threat that the update person received?

Is he suggesting that the station's coverage of the Kane story has been irresponsible?

The one thing I'll back them up on is Mully and Hanley not being part of the Score's editorial voice. They're their own thing. Grobber, too. But Goff is a Bernstein guy, Leery is a Bernstein guy, DiCaro, Baffoe, Drinky, Bernfield, Rodewald, arguably Rozner, Spiegel when he feels like it, they're all part of the same bloc. You can even include past employees like Hoge and McDoink, or prominent confederates of the station like Fels/McClure and whoever runs the Ramblin' Grimace twitter account. That lots of people take their cues from one guy is pretty obvious.

The funniest thing about all this to me is that it can't be as if Bernstein gets up in front of a whiteboard, all "listen now, my clones, this is how we will attack!" I don't think there's an exclusive listserv for Dan Bernstein's daily talking-points memos. I don't think he cares one bit who follows him and who doesn't. The people just do.

Spiegs kept it real today.

I'm at the juncture with the station I was when North was viewed as the face of the station

Bernstein (and his semiretired lackey side kick) have become caricatures of themselves

That prick lost me when he took another shot at Sharp when the Hawks just won the Cup

It's not about sports anymore - it's about the Bernstein agenda. If you disagree with his agenda, you're either a dope or a bad person.

Fuck him.

Let the investigation conclude before you vilify a human being. Now all of the sudden the Score hosts and bloggers are 'victims' of social media trolls. WTF do you think they've been leading up to today?

He doesn't care. He doesn't foster it. He doesn't even notice it beyond his general "make the station smarter" exhortations.

They see it as a path to success.

No doubt. There are no Alphas at the Score since MacNeil left so bernstein is what passes for one. Everyone else is a cowering weakling waiting for marching orders.

I agree Bernstein doesn't Foster it. Yes, they see it as a path to success. But also if you don't have Bernstein's opinion on these big issues it means you are a racist, a fan boy, pro rape, pro child rap, a meatball or one of the many other labels Bernstein puts on people who don't agree with him.

And the Score boys don't want any of those labels so they rubber stamp all of Bernstein's positions out of fear.

The culture at the Score that Bernstein has created, while weird and sick, is also quite impressive. No other radio station in the country is like what we have at the Score.

Even the "Score editorial voice" we talk about so much is just a copy of Deadspin, Puck Daddy, and all the other politically conscious sports blogs.
