I’m really trying to get into the new Score afternoon show, however, Laurence has been a drag on the show. I’m listening to this past Mondays podcast, and a few things just rubbed me the wrong way.

He’s co-opted the whole That’sMontez bit and it really feels as though he’s trying to make everything about the old show into “his”. I.e.. I don’t see him bringing anything new to the table that is of interest.

Olin Kreutz being interviewed by Spiegel and Larry Holmes is like Olin Kreutz talking to Pee-wee Herman and Mr Rogers.

Larry said his "comp" for Bryce Young was Brees....Parkins then responded, "so you want Bears to draft Young, and keep pick", Larry responded "no", then Parkins ridiculed him, saying why wouldn't you want a future hall of famer? Larry made to look like a fool by Parkins....again...

I have been trying too. Somewhere around Wednesday last week I got tired of Holmes telling me how much fun we are having and that we are all part of the the 'mob' and stopped listening. Maybe I'll try again this week.

No better way to suck the fun and spoil the 'mob' vibe than to have Holmes tell me about it again and again.

There is one certainty in life- Great Show today.

Oh yes, Laurence is the joke explainer.

How many times can he let everybody know that this was his first football game he’s ever been to as without a press pass or that he spent so many years learning from the professional football players he’s surrounded himself with in the various shows that he has done. Good grief he’s tedious.

I remember Parkins alluding to Bryce Young and Larry saying "I think he's Drew Brees" I don't remember the draft part of it, not disputing that at all, I just don't remember it.

ok, yes, this is exactly how Antioch described it. It's incredible that it isn't brought up almost every day. It also raises the obvious question to Larry : did he think Justin Fields was going to be a Hall of Famer after the 2022 season?

Parkins started this and Spiegel says it constantly, how cynical Bears fans are. Not the right use of the word, doesn't even make sense when applied to sports fandom unless the Bears were purposely trying to lose to get out of town or something. They're just skeptical, but Parko surely has never looked up what cynical actually means, he probably read it on twitter one day and inserted it into his daily vocabulary.
