Reached out to my brother in law that lives in KC and is a sports nut. He doesn't listen to a lot of sports radio but the people he knows and talk to said Parkins is pretty solid. Sounds like he is a baseball guy first. Looking forward to hearing the 20 minutes a day I get in this time slot. |

I don't remember the Score having the group think it does today. Parkins' Chicago bona fides have been enunciated on every show I have listened to since his announced hiring. It's almost as embarrassing as Terry including the Cubs being on the station as one of his memories of his 25 years at the Score. |

Management should send him an e-mail inviting him to post here. I wouldn't be surprised if he viewed this site while in KC |

Really, what "The Score" needs is a former athlete in Chicago that can transition to radio in a mild "Shock Jock" role. Like Esiason on KFAN in New York. They were grooming Mannelly for that, but he was a bid of a dud personality wise and bowed out himself. The Score having the Cubs gig now is huge. The radio shows just have to tread water for the station until baseball starts again. |

I don't think Boomer is too controversial, he just sits back and lets Craig Carton light himself on fire. |

I wonder why they didn't try to rope Peanut Tillman into a full time score gig? He did ton of show stuff during his playing days. |

But I recall Tillman saying something to the effect that he doesn't like watching sports, he likes playing them. |

Wow, played professional but doesn't like to watch. I mean, playing is always better, but how could you play so well and not enjoy watching? I wonder if that is common. |

Mannelly hated watching anything that wasn't football. He fully admitted that. |

15,000 empty seats next season if the Bears don't sign Eric Berry or draft a QB with the #3 pick. |

Why would he choose the Bears? I have no idea why the Chiefs would let him hit the market Bouye should be target #2 and he will almost definitely be on the market |
