Al Jean is going to be on at noon. Why? I am not sure.

Little arrogant without justification.

It's very strange that they don't call in a guest host with Parkins.

It wouldn't surprise me if no one wanted to work with him. Maybe more so as a shot at Chunga than Parkins himself. There's a long list of guys who probably wanted that spot and got passed over. Plus, the fact that the guy isn't very good, isn't doing anything to win over an audience, and seems to HAVE to do things his own way or he can't function. With all those qualifiers, I wouldn't want to work with the prick either.

I'm not sold on Parkins but he was a better choice than anyone else.

Any person who won't work with him is an idiot.

This guy is a turd in a punch bowl, he sticks out - doesn't fit in. Put every other Score host into a room with a hot mike and they would also all sound like they belonged together.

Parkins said he's solo when Speigel is off because he likes to work solo. He also said a lot of people wanted that job and then said something about interoffice politics. Does that mean the other people at the station are pissed at him for getting the job and won't work with him?

He said he is willing to work with anyone, but those are the reasons why he is solo when Speigel is gone but Speigel has a cohost when he's gone.

Why doesn't Larry hate Goff? Larry has agreed to work with Goff. Goff is 5 or 6 years younger than Larry. Larry has been at the Score longer than Goff. Yet Goff got a day part show over Larry.

Rubin is sick. And it's Fat Tuesday, that should explain why DiCaro is absent. The Al Jean thing goes hand in hand with the post I made yesterday about odd programming decisions. Why do I care what Al Jean thinks about sports? This isn't a national show. The NHL trade deadline is tomorrow, Bulls play tonight, Cubs/Sox are in S/T - isn't there plenty to fill 3 hours with things other than an entertainment guest? And, I have finally realized that Parkins sounds like Daffy Duck if he had a 2 pack a day cig habit. Ssssssufferrrin' sssssuccotassssshhhhh. Yuk.

Parkins is OK. There are things I don't like about him but I don't find him as unlikable (yet...) as most of the other guys on the station. Solo, the show can be an option for me. With Speigel, it's usually not.
