really, this needs to be an unscreened call segment or only screened to the point it isn't going to get them fined by the FCC.

As I said, Zawaski sucks. I knew I unsubscribed from his podcast for a reason.

Yeah, that's why there is no Score Hello anymore, now you can't put someone on the air without them understanding that they're about to be on the air.

Back when Art Bell was on the air, he never screened calls (and lot's of weird mentally ill people got through as a result)

I used to tune in to his show every now and then when I worked midnights twenty years ago. One night some guy calls in and says he's about to jump the fence into Area 51. Bell starts pleading with him not to because he personally knows people who did and were never heard from again!



Another night, some girl calls in to tell Art that her and a few others were on a chupacabra hunt and they had one cornered!

That was some great guilty pleasure listening.

Radio host Art Bell suddenly ended his long-running program this weekend, citing alleged threats made against him and his family.

The Pahrump Valley Times reports the 70 year old radio personality called it quits after months of what he has described as "never-ending terrorism."

Bell says shots have been fired outside his residency, and that he has spotted trespassers near his home late at night.

He also says he received a phone call in November saying that if his radio program aired that night, both Bell and his family would be killed.

In December, Bell says he was walking on his property and someone fired shots at him, but police found neither any suspects nor any evidence a gun was fired.

The Nye County Sheriff's Department opened an investigation into the case, but has closed it due to a lack of evidence.

I wish my show so popular that people would threaten to kill me.

That show was amazing.

That isn't even a guilty pleasure. That was just fun. Is it still on? He has some health issues, didn't he?

It's on, but it's a shadow of its former self with the current host.

Listening to that show late at night during summer breaks from school was like listening to campfire stories. You know none of it is real, but it's still fun.
