Post subject:  8/28 Bears and Fight Recap
So Jay's cheap ass wouldn't pay for the fight, so he was looking for streams online. On Friday, Spiegel said he wanted to get Camp the Red Zone because he couldn't afford it. 2 grown ass men, Camp and Jay, and these fucks don't have a $100? Shit, they have to be making more than my ass, and I have extra $$$

Actually, I thought the narrative was if you were rooting for Mayweather to win it was condoning domestic violence but there were probably several " if you do this you're condoning it" stances about the fight

One of my cousins has been in the newspaper business as an editor/reporter/blogger for 30 years. He hasn't had a raise since 2009, and in fact his net salary went down because he shifted to a role with more daytime weekday reporting so he lost some adjustments. Oh, and his income tax went up too.

I doubt that Zawaski is doing better in terms of raises. He's maybe making $45k plus the occasional $150 for hosting a Blackhawks night at local bars.

I agree with you on the Red Zone. If you can't afford $10 a month for it then you have lost at life.

$100 for the fight? Hell no. I don't care for boxing and was asleep by the time it was over.

I think the Red Zone is actually $6 or $7 per month.

The saturday before opening day I get it and cancel it after the last game. Because it's a package. You get a few other channels that you'll never watch. They give you Boston and NY comcast sports net with it and a few other things.

I have never even looked at my bill regarding this. Do you not get the red zone because you also get the NFL Network? This I thought was packaged in the usually sports plan for the regionals and extra ESPNs etc.

NFL network is not in the Redzone package. That's a different package. At least for Comcast.

I think you have to pay a fee for trying that shit. I think once you buy it, you buy at least a month.

Because if you could just buy the premium channels for a day, wouldn't you just buy the Redzone, HBO and Showtime on Sundays and cancel on Mondays?

HBO and Showtime have their good shows on Sundays. That's all you need. No way the cable companies would allow this.

Like I said, I think you buy it for a month before you can cancel. I'll ask the comcast person when I buy Redzone next week.
