Been listening most of the show today for the first time in awhile. Pretty good. I still don't like Spiegel but Parkins it reaffirmed my belief that Parkins is the best host in town.

This is the only show to which I regularly listen. Great show today.

I didn’t listen today, but a couple of days ago they had a segment where people called in with their tales of drunken behavior at sporting events. I laughed a couple of times, and we’ve all witnessed that type of idiocy at games.

Anyway, fun listen—proves sports radio can still be fun, doesn’t need to take itself too seriously, and certainly does not need to be very important, or even an art form.

Yup. That's the best trait the show has going for it, especially when juxtaposed with the afternoon show.

good segment, but went on a few calls too long and they ran out of good ones.

Good show, seriously. Still prefer B&G.

Agreed that they took a few too many calls. But, it actually reminded me of some of the fun B&B segments--Friday Fun and WYC (before it became political).

You guys sum it up perfectly. I too am starting to think that Parkins is the best host on the Score. He has good thoughts, thinks and talks fast, and has a deprecating sense of humor that shows that he is somewhat grounded. He has a lot of Bernstein in him without being pompous or an asshat like Bernstein.

Parkins said something a couple days ago that nearly sounded as if it was a veiled shot at B&G. About not taking themselves too seriously and wanting to have fun with the show. It was when he was predicting that he'd be Spiegels's longest-lasting partner.

What I have noticed is that even when a segment is bad, it doesn't piss me off of make me STFB. I just FF to the next segment.
