I've been thinking this over all day. Now, I love pork chops. It might be my favorite cut of meat. However, the preparation on these wasn't all that great. On the other hand, I like ham but this was a ham from Paulina Market and it was fantastic.

Then there are considerations outside of taste like the pork chops are older, no one else is jumping at them and I don't want them to go bad. We also have broiled potatoes which go much better with pork chops than ham.

Pork chops are terrible 99% of the time. It's a most unfortunate thing, but that's how it goes.

Toss it/them into the yard of a neighbor you don't like and eat the ham while it's still in its prime.

btw, my favorite part of the whole "lol sini is the NIU massmurderer" fiasco was discovering some concerned mothers messageboard psychoanalyzing my old myspace page (where they determined that, despite not having murdered anyone, i was still a "ticking time bomb" =) somebody kicked around the theory that the NIU massmurders might have happened because i was pissed off about my grandpa making pork chops the night before. yeah i wrote a blog about how pork chops are kind of bland and not-ideal, so obviously being me you know that's going to drive me to go murder people. duh.

TLDR = i'd probably go with the ham, but if you end up going the pork chops route be careful that you're not feeling especially murderous... at least on social media!

Pork chops usually are pretty bad. Actually sous vide might be the way to go. or brine those babies, sear, then finish in oven. gotta use double cut obviously.

Pork chops and ham are both amazing. Pigs are truly wonderful creatures.

Go on Sunday to Perry's steakhouse in oak Brook Mall, pork chop special is $35, it's the best and gets you about 3 meals of food. My favorite restaurant meal of all time
