First there was the North Era. Then there was the Bernstein Era. I think we have all witnessed the shift to the Parkins Era. I don't exactly know what it means in terms of the station's character but I have to think it is a move in the correct direction for listeners and fans of the golden era of the station. All hail the new face of the station:

Parkins seems to blend in both Mac and Bernstein types of talk. He can do the social issues in sports but doesn't beat you to death with it, and he's a gambling freak. |

Then again Parkins only needs to bone up on about 4 bands to match DM’s music knowledge so he may have a chance if he puts a little effort into it. Maybe Mac will make him a mix tape. |
