It was so nice hearing Mac ask guests questions that only took a few seconds to ask. He asks a direct question unlike B&G who had to circle around their question to make themselves seem so smart. I need Curious Hair to do a Bernstein or Goff question impersonation.

Parkins is a Cubs guy and Mac is a Sox guy. They can both talk baseball well. It isn't Mac's passion, but he does it and goes to his fair share of games

I think Mac explained his Sox/Cubs thing many times and it makes some sense. Like many he was a big Cub fan in 69 especially Billy Williams. For whatever reason he left that and gravitated to the Sox especially 77-2005. He was a real Sox fan. He is not from the city though so he does not possess the Cub-Sox hatred like many of us do so he was ok enjoying the Cubs winning.

You answered your reason right here...he always said that he left the Cubs behind when they traded Billy Williams to Oakland.

I believe he took it out to take it to the poker rooms because he thought that was more likely to win, and then we never heard of it again and I'm guessing he lost it all to Elgin's version of Johnny Chan.

Mac supplied all of the capital. Parkins was 100% ready to both contribute his own share and the producer's share when Mac told him not to bother as he had an account already set up and ready to go.
