Ignoring the advice and opinions of Matt Abbattacola, whether it is in regards to your personal or professional life, is probably a wise move.

The voice of the fan as long as you stick to sports.
Pretty disappointing when the station started and grew because of the “personalities” on the air.
@670TheScore

I hope all forms of non-sports talk are removed from this point forward and not just some...

How many people close to the station are going to say the same bullshit. The Bernstein and Goff show was fucking terrible and no one listened to it. END OF STORY.

I've not listened to a word of Chicago sports talk radio for probably 5 years. In fact, Dr. Ken's podcast was the first time I heard Mac's voice in a LONG time.

What objective evidence has lead to drinky and Goff's belief that they are anything but the very average man? You would think those two were frustrated intellectuals trying to explain esoteric theories to the masses.

Trumpets are the biggest snowflakes in the world. It's really sad they struggle listening to opinions different from theirs. It's "telling it like it is" when a Trumpet gives a political thought but you're a SJW or worse if you don't think like a Trumpet.

No shit. Did he think corporate radio was not for profit? That's what podcasts are for.

Seriously, you want to have a real discussion about why some guys get multiple chances and others don't? Look in the fuckin' mirror.

I'm sure there are plenty of management guys who think Mac is a hard to handle asshole, but they know exactly what they're getting. Mac is gonna shoot them straight. You don't have to guess where he stands. That's as opposed to guys making all kinds of passive-aggressive posts on social media.

Drinky and his 8 kids with 7 different women are surely the voice of reason in all of this.

Very true.

Drinky and Goff both seem to really be struggling with the reality of the fact that their attachment to Bernsie did not get them where they wanted.

They should have attached themselves to Mac. Mac and his old school ways are winning the day while they sit on their couch

Before he left, Matt quoted Ernie Johnson on the air when he said "Be a fountain, not a drain". I don't think Matt is being a "fountain" here.

Why do you feel the need to repeatedly knock their intelligence? They're talking about sports and occasionally making basic political statements. It doesn't take a degree from a big name school to be able to do that. In fact the best I've heard do it was a high school dropout IIRC.

If these guys had a restaurant they would have no name, no sign and no menu. They would make you whatever the hell they wanted to and you are going to have to like it or leave. That sounds like a great business plan.

I think you've got it backwards. They're knocking your (the listener's) intelligence.

As a so called regular guy you should know more than anyone that's how MANY regular people talk. You've acknowledged as much while not defending a president who questions the intelligence of anyone who disagrees with him.

I think you're missing it. I never listened to drinky or Goff and felt they were talking down to anyone. Bernstein is the only guy that I can think of that consistently does that. Drinky and Goff talked like normal people.

What Regular Joe doesn't call someone else opinion stupid or dumb? There are a lot of overly sensitive people when someone doesn't come in and pretend to care like hosts or agree with their opinions.

Look at the stuff drinky is saying right now. He's suggesting that the listener couldn't deal with their "elevated" brand of radio. At least that's how I read it.

I agree that I don't think Drinky and Goff talked down to people, especially Drinky. But when they post things questioning listeners and talking down to listeners who don't want smart programming, it really comes across as shallow and petty. They just can't admit that they weren't good. A lot of people hate Rush Limbaugh, but the guy is good at radio.
